Ethics

At Necro Nature, respect for nature and ethical sourcing are at the heart of everything I create.

All animal materials used within artwork, workshops, and displays are sourced responsibly and with care. Skins and hides are obtained ethically from farmers, hunters, and existing agricultural sources where the animal would otherwise go to waste. Insects, including bees, are sourced from local beekeepers and natural life-cycle collections, ensuring no insects are harmed solely for artistic purposes.

Bones and skeletal materials are collected from ethical and sustainable sources including roadkill recovery, farms, natural passings, veterinary donations, preserved pets, and personal donations. Wherever possible, materials are repurposed and preserved as a way of honouring the natural world rather than contributing to unnecessary waste.

Necro Nature does not support cruelty, poaching, or the harming of animals for art. My work is deeply rooted in appreciation, preservation, education, and the beauty of natural cycles — life, death, decay, and renewal.

Through ethical preservation and creative reuse, we aim to encourage curiosity, respect for nature, and meaningful conversations about the connection between art and the natural world.
